Abstract Despite the improvement of surgical techniques, the rate of anastomotic failure of pancreaticojejunostomy remains high (30%-50%). Here we describe the use of vertical mattress sutures in the modification of dunking pancreaticojejunal anastomosis. In 7 patients who used this technique, neither anastomotic failure nor any major postsurgical complication developed. This technique is an easy, safe, and promising for the performance of pancreaticojejunostomy.
