Abstract Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has become a global pandemic. Several large cohort studies have reported liver injury in COVID-19 patients. Here, we reviewed the manifestations and causes of liver injury in COVID-19 patients and the effects of liver injury on the clinical outcomes based on the published literature.
